Total Pest Control Fresno sends service-related text messages (SMS) — appointment reminders and confirmations, technician en-route and ETA updates, scheduling changes, and service and billing notifications. This page documents every way a customer can opt in to those messages, exactly as each consent is collected. Consent is never a condition of purchase, and we do not send marketing texts without a separate, explicit opt-in.

Method 1 — Website form (online)
Our quote/contact forms (for example on the Contact Us page and the home page) include a dedicated SMS consent checkbox. The checkbox is unchecked by default and is not required to submit the form. Its exact language:
“Text me about my request and service (optional) — I agree to receive appointment reminders, confirmations, technician en-route/ETA updates, and service & billing text messages (SMS) from Total Pest Control Fresno at the number provided. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.”
A customer who leaves the box unchecked still receives their quote — we simply do not text them.
Method 2 — By phone
When a customer calls our office to schedule service or request a quote, staff ask for consent before enrolling the number, using this script:
“Would you like to get text updates about your service — appointment reminders, confirmations, and a heads-up when your technician is on the way? Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply; you can reply STOP at any time to stop, or HELP for help. Texting is optional and not required to get service.”
The customer's yes or no is recorded on their account in our customer management system, with the date. Customers who decline are not enrolled.
Method 3 — In person
When a customer signs up for service in person with a technician or at our office, the technician or staff member presents the same consent language as the phone script above, and the customer's choice is recorded on their account the same way. Consent is collected separately from the service agreement — agreeing to service never automatically opts a customer into texting.
Enrollment confirmation
When a customer opts in, the first text message identifies Total Pest Control Fresno and includes opt-out (STOP) and help (HELP) instructions.
Revoking consent
A customer can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, calling our office at (559) 472-8200, or telling any staff member or technician. Opt-outs take effect immediately and apply to all message types.
